SEND: Make sure the missionary has a measurable plan before he leaves you to do God’s will.
In the midst of a population explosion, can we continue to promote anything that does not multiply our efforts? In order to measure effective ministry, can your missionaries tell you before they leave what they will do so you can see if it is done? Was it ever intended that a missionary simply leave his place to settle into a new place for a lifetime? With the prevalence of English-speaking nationals overseas, why are we still teaching through interpreters? If you train the right people, is it really necessary to have an American present to oversee nationals working? When do we stop doing and simply train them to do? National local churches are obligated to do what we often do for them; when will we turn over the work and leave?
